We’re excited to welcome the Minnesota Zoo Foundation back to the Storm Creek Warehouse Sale for the second year in a row. Last year they joined us for the first time, met our shoppers and talked about wildlife conservation. This year they’re putting the spotlight on some of the zoo’s toughest cold-weather residents: the snow monkeys.
Storm Creek was built on making apparel for people who love the outdoors, so partnering with an organization that protects wildlife and wild places feels like a natural fit. We both care about the same things: the outdoors, our community and leaving things better than we found them.
Meet the Snow Monkeys
Japanese macaques are better known as snow monkeys. They live farther north than any other primate besides humans. They handle snowy winters by growing thicker coats as the temperature drops and huddling together for warmth. (We can relate. Layering up and sticking together is how Minnesotans get through winter too.)
At this year’s sale, the Minnesota Zoo Foundation will give shoppers a behind-the-scenes look at how the zoo cares for its senior snow monkeys. Stop by their table to see some of the science and dedication behind the animals you visit at the zoo, and to learn a few fun facts along the way.

Shoppers can support the Foundation on any sale day: November 6, 7, 13 and 14. Select the Minnesota Zoo Foundation at checkout, in store or online, and 10% of your purchase goes directly to them.
