They’re based right here in Minnesota, and they help veterans find healing, support and a sense of belonging after they come home.

Bob Truckenmiller
“When I returned home from Nam and was medically discharged, I returned to finish college and was greeted with jeers! Over past several years, organizations like Tee It Up for the Troops have helped me forget the past and to get rid of my anger and resentment!”

Frank Armenta
After 27 years of active duty and 7 combat tours, Frank carried home more than medals. He received two Purple Hearts and two Bronze Stars, and he was injured in both a sniper attack in Fallujah and an IED explosion in Afghanistan.
But some of the hardest battles began after he came home. At his lowest point, Frank was struggling in silence and considering suicide. Then he got an invitation to REUNION, Tee It Up for the Troops’ outreach program for combat veterans.
“I decided to give it one last shot. It was the greatest decision of my life. I have become one of hundreds of success stories for Tee It Up for the Troops, and my parents, wife, kids and myself thank them from the bottom of my heart.”
Today Frank is loving life. He travels with his wife, plays golf and, most importantly, helps countless other veterans find the same healing he did.
About Tee It Up for the Troops
Tee It Up for the Troops raises awareness and support for U.S. military veterans through golf events, outreach and fundraising. Their REUNION program brings combat veterans and their caregivers together for golf, peer support and access to resources. They also fund programs focused on suicide prevention, PTSD and traumatic brain injury, employment, housing, family and caregiver support, and sports rehabilitation.
