EAGAN, MN (December 23rd, 2020) –Storm Creek, a leading supplier of premium eco-made outdoor-inspired apparel headquartered in Eagan, Minnesota, announced today that it contributed a record $51,557 to charity in fourth quarter of 2020.
“Giving back is woven into the fabric of who we are,” said Teresa Fudenberg. “This year, more than ever, charities struggled for much needed contributions to serve those in need. To have reached this level of support is truly humbling.”
The company raised the funds through a variety of efforts, including its Wear For BetterSM Shopper Program during the Eighth Annual Warehouse Sale. Shoppers were able to choose one of 14 charity partners to support. This year’s sale raised nearly $37,000.
Charity partners included: The American Cancer Society, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Ronald McDonald House, Save the Boundary Waters, Secondhand Hounds, Tee It Up for the Troops, plus eight others.
In addition, Storm Creek gives in-kind product donations to local and national emergency assistance programs throughout the year. In November and December alone, Storm Creek donated more than $25,000 in product to various organizations in need.
Storm Creek’s giving strategy doesn’t stop there. Through its 1% for the Planet membership, 1% of sales of its eco-made products goes to support causes that impact positive environmental change. By the end of 2021, Storm Creek’s entire product line will include recycled materials and components.
The company is part of the Minnesota Keystone program, which promotes corporate philanthropy by recognizing companies that donate at least two percent of their pre-tax earnings to charitable organizations. Storm Creek gives at the 5% level.
“We believe our apparel can be a catalyst for good – through the sale of our sustainable, high quality products, we drive dollars back into the community. Our mission is to be Seekers of Better, for all!” Fudenberg said.
