In 2020, we successfully transitioned all of our styles to be eco-made made. Since then, each year has brought a new set of challenges and opportunities to grow in our commitment to sustainability. So, what will 2023 bring for sustainability at Storm Creek? Here’s what to expect.
Sustainable Sourcing
Storm Creek is committed to sourcing fabrics made using recycled materials and sustainable practices. Our signature, cozy, fabrics are made using recycled polyester that comes from plastic bottles. Who knew plastic bottles could become your favorite loungewear? Additionally, a few select fabrics are Oeko-Tex® and/or bluesign® certified. By the end of 2023, we will have up-cycled 30 million plastic bottles.
Environmental and Social Standards
Storm Creek is committed to holding our factory partners to the highest social and environmental standards. All of our partners are WRAP and/or BSCI certified; meaning they provide safe, fair, and clean work environments. At HQ, we are making extra efforts to ensure people come to work every day feeling supported and excited to grow personally and professionally.
Doing our part
Storm Creek hit a huge giving milestone to kick off 2023. We have officially surpassed $1 Million in giving to local and national organizations! By 2030, we will have generated our 5 millionth dollar to charity. This is a big goal for a small company, but this truly is woven into the fabric of this company.
Living out our values
We are always Seekers of Better. Storm Creek is teaming up with the Minnesota Waste Wise Foundation to make sustainability improvements at our Eagan HQ. MN Waste Wise is conducting a full audit on everything from the trash we generate to the cleaning supplies we use. Their recommendations will make our office even more eco-friendly and reduce our carbon footprint.
